This coming Thursday, August 20 I’ll be celebrating my 23rd birthday at world renowned Cielo w/ one of my FAVORITE DJs, Danny Krivit! The originator of the disco edit, Danny has been one of the most influential DJs to me over the years & it’s always an honor to play a night with him. I’ll be on opening duties, so make sure you’re there early & that you mention that you’re there for my party! It may get you a comp or two! Hope to see you out
I’m honored to have been featured on a really dope blog called TheNumber20. It’s got enough material to keep you visually and aurally stimulated for hours! Plus, the lovely Kristen that I’ve been in talks with is such a sweetheart! Look forward to putting up some more tracks & mixes up in the future so stay tuned!
“Cause tonightt, we’re gonna leave our 9-5 up on the shelf, & just enjoy ourselvess” Michael Jackson was an inspiration to many including Danny Tenaglia. Danny goes on to share, “MJ was more a part of my life than most might ever imagine! The loss of MJ has shattered ‘Another Part of Me’ and I just feel like I want everyone to know exactly how I feel.” On this special tribute night, keep an ear out for the never-before released massive Danny Tenaglia edit of Jackson’s “Thriller” mash-up with “Be Yourself” entitled “Thrill Yourself”. Yet another re-post from my favorite dance-music site, here’s the intro: “His recent book The Disco Files collecting his weekly columns at Record World is an invaluable piece of music history. RA plays some classics to one of the first disco journalists, Vince Aletti.” Click here to check out the interview.
Another primo interviewee for Resident Advisor, and one of my favorites at the moment, Mark E. Proving that slow & steady wins the race. “Mark E has made a name for himself over the past few years by slowing things down. In advance of his gig at the Garden Festival next weekend, we talked to the DJ/producer about his slow and sure rise to the top of the disco/house heap.” Click here to read.
